Everything you need to know about Freshers Week 2022
WHEN IS FRESHERS WEEK?
University of Surrey Freshers Week starts with our Official UniLife Moving In Party on the 18th September (Included in wristbands!) and runs all the way through until the 24th September with plenty of fantastic welcome week Freshers events to get stuck into!
CAN MY FRIEND COME TO FRESHERS EVENTS?
You are welcome to bring your friend from another University or even just a friend from your hometown to any UniLife events. You won’t be required to show a student ID with your ticket to gain entry.
HOW DO I GET A FRESHERS WRISTBAND?
You can obtain a UniLife Freshers Wristband from our Official ticket partner Fatsoma. Each City will have its own wristband for a series of Freshers Week events tailored to your University.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO EVENTS?
All that you will need is your QR code Ticket from the Fatsoma app. This will enable you to exchange it for a physical fabric wristband at our Moving in Party.
You are also required to present a valid government issued ID proving that you are aged 18+ to gain entry to our events.
WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE BY?
Wristbands require you to be in the queue for events by 11pm to guarantee your entry. After this time, we operate a strict one in one out policy.
Most events start at 10pm (this will be detailed on your ticket) – we highly recommend being there at opening (or even 15 minutes prior to really make the most of your night!). Its Freshers Week and guaranteed to be busy. While we do our best to process entry as fast as possible – the sooner you’re there, the less time you’ll spend queuing and enjoying the event!
WHAT IF I DON'T GET INTO MY CHOSEN UNIVERSITY?
If you have already purchased your UniLife Freshers wristband and things don’t go to plan on results day for your chosen University please read the below to obtain your refund. You Must:
– Request a refund through Fatsoma.
– You MUST provide proof (UCAS evidence) of your university change / deferral / rejection and a valid photographic ID. – Email the above proof to unilife@freshersevents.co.uk with the subject ‘2022 Freshers Refund’ along with the name that your ticket was purchased under (if it is different from the name on your ID).
PLEASE NOTE:
This ONLY applies to tickets purchased BEFORE Monday 1st August 2022. Fatsoma does not refund booking fees.
